Diodes' ZXGD3112N7 active OR'ing MOSFET controller extends the support for redundant power systems with rail voltages up to ±400V; this device was created for successful designs in previous 40V and 200V devices . The low turn-off threshold voltage allows very low RDS(on) MOSFETs to operate as ideal diodes, providing a highly efficient power system that is ideal for telecommunications systems, data centers and servers where two or more power supplies are required The target application in the line or (OR'ing together to provide redundancy).
The ZXGD3112N7 also helps to increase system reliability due to the higher system voltages used to increase distribution efficiency. This is due to its low RDS(on) MOSFET compared to Schottky blocking diode alternatives. Used in combination, it can work at lower temperatures. In addition to improving system efficiency, its <5mV shutdown threshold voltage improves the stability of light loads, while the ability to turn off within <600ns to avoid reverse current flow and prevent on common rails Voltage drop. The 5A sink current ensures fast discharge of the gate of the parallel MOSFET.
With a best-in-class shutdown threshold voltage and 400V rated voltage (four times the value of a competitor's OR'ing controller), the ZXGD3112N7 delivers exceptional efficiency, reliability and stability over the entire load range.
