The MIC4720YML-TR from Microchip Technology is a high-performance, synchronous step-down (buck) regulator, designed to deliver a continuous output current of up to 2A. This efficient voltage regulator offers an adjustable output voltage range from 0.7V to 5.5V, making it suitable for a wide array of applications, including distributed power systems, portable devices, and networking equipment.

Operating at a switching frequency of 1MHz, the MIC4720YML-TR allows for the use of small surface-mount inductors and capacitors, reducing the overall footprint and component cost on the PCB.
