Analog Devices (ADI) announced the LTC6952, LTC6953, LTC6955 and LTC6955-1 low-jitter, high-performance clock generation and distribution device family that supports up to 7.5GHz JESD204B subclass 1 clock applications. These products are ideally suited for high-speed data converter clocking applications. They use an extensible architecture to provide thousands of synchronous low-jitter clocks each with a complementary SYSREF signal.

The LTC6952 is a high performance, ultra-low jitter, JESD204B clock generation and distribution device. It consists of a phase-locked loop (PLL) core and consists of a reference divider, Phase-Locked Frequency Detector (PFD) with phase-locked indicator, an ultra-low noise charge pump, and an integer feedback divider. The 11 outputs of the LTC6952 can be configured for up to 5 JESD204B subclass 1 device clocks/SYSREF pairs and one general-purpose output, or 11 universal clock outputs for non-JESD204B applications. Each output has its own individually settable divider and output driver. All outputs can be synchronized and a separate coarse half cycle digital delay and fine analog time delay set to an accurate phase alignment calibration. For applications requiring more than 11 total outputs, multiple LTC6952s can be connected using EZSyncTM or ParallelSyncTM synchronization protocols.

The LTC6953 is a clock distribution function of the LTC6952. The LTC6955 is an 11-output fan-out buffer with a parallel interface. Each output bank selects one of three states: in-phase, 180° out of phase, or powered down. The LTC6955-1 is identical to the LTC6955. The only difference is that the former output has an integrated divide-by-2 (÷2) circuit.
