
Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) announces the Power by LinearTM LTC2962-LTC2964 family, a family of 4-channel voltage monitors that are exceptionally accurate to increase system voltage margin and reliability. Traditional voltage monitors with an accuracy of 1% to 2% cannot be used with ASIC, FPGA, DSP, MCU, and MPU architectures operating down to 1V supply, otherwise valuable system voltage margins are reduced and the remaining load operating voltage range is reduced .
The LTC2962 family features a leading ±0.5% reset threshold accuracy, which relaxes power requirements, increases system transient tolerance, and supports lower nominal power supplies, resulting in significantly lower power consumption. The LTC2962 Series meets many network, telecom, and automotive applications with its high accuracy, flexible 1V to 5V (or adjustable) reset threshold and wide operating temperature range.
The unique combination of features makes the LTC2962 family unique in the low-power voltage monitor market, making it an excellent choice for many multi-supply rail applications. Each channel can be easily selected from 16 preset or adjustable voltage thresholds with an accuracy of ±0.5% to monitor undervoltage, overvoltage, or undervoltage conditions. The supervisory circuit is responsible for monitoring the input and driving the output based on the configured threshold. Alternatively, you can use the manual reset input to force a system reset using a push button switch.
The LTC2962 series is now available in a variety of temperature classes: 0°C to 70°C (Class C), –40°C to 85°C (Class I), and –40°C to 125°C (Class H). The LTC2962 is available in a 16-pin 3mm x 3mm QFN package, while the LTC2963-1 and LTC2964 are available in a 20-lead 3mm x 4mm QFN package.
