The AS3956 dynamic tag enables the contactless connection between any NFC reader, such as a sensor and smartphone, through the host controller. It supports the NDEF data exchange protocol that meets the NFC Forum requirements and ensures interoperability with any NFC mobile phone, including Apple® iOS devices.
In order to ensure the reliability of the AS3956, Ames Semiconductors worked closely with product manufacturing customers in the industrial and IoT industries during the R&D process. Comprehensive testing in real-world applications validates the chip's superior performance and reliability in a range of demanding operating environments.
Unlike the consumer-grade dynamic NFC tags on the market today, the AS3956 is ideal for the following applications:
Strict operating environment for industrial and IoT applications, including extreme temperature environments from -40°C to 125°C
Products that require longer life, such as HVAC equipment, hearing aids, and wireless sensors used in infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and utilities. The AS3956's built-in EEPROM memory can perform a minimum of 100,000 program/erase cycles, and data can be retained for 10 years at 125°C
