
Diodes' AP7380 series of ultra-low dropout regulators support a wide 24V input voltage range and offer a variety of fixed output voltage options to meet typical system requirements. These features combined with high precision and ultra-low quiescent current make the device ideal for a wide range of USB power supplies, portable devices, consumer, instrumentation and metrology applications.
With a wide input voltage range of 3.5V to 24V, the AP7380 allows it to operate from standard 5V, 9V, and 12V system rails with sufficient headroom to handle power transients. The device offers stable output voltage versions of 3.0V, 3.3V, 4.15V, 4.4V, and 5.0V to support common point-of-load requirements. The AP7380 provides excellent line/load regulation with 1.0% room temperature output accuracy at all I/O voltages up to 150mA maximum rated load current.
The typical low-low dropout performance of the AP7380 is a dropout of only 250mV at an output voltage of 5V and a load current of 50mA. At the same time, the device has a low quiescent current of 1.8μA, which minimizes standby power consumption and extends The working life of battery-powered equipment. The AP7380 also incorporates a thermal shutdown feature that protects the device from overtemperature conditions.
