DENSO's stereoscopic vision sensor uses Cypress's automotive PMIC and NOR flash memory solutions

Tuesday, October 31, 2017

Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq: CY) today announced that DENSO, a global supplier of automotive components and systems, uses the 6-channel Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) for Cypress Automotive and FL-S serial NOR flash memory solution for the latest driving support system (ADAS) cast the latest stereoscopic vision sensor. DENSO stereoscopic vision sensors use image processing techniques to detect obstacle and lane lines of different shapes, as well as free space on the road. This will enable automatic emergency braking and automatic steering control, to avoid obstacles. Cypress's highly integrated 6-channel car PMIC can manage the entire sensor power supply, and FL-S NOR flash memory allows high-performance systems to quickly execute the program. Each device is very compact, so the solution is very suitable for this compact design.

Cypress PMIC and NOR flash memory

"Our solution is compact and world-class, and is well suited to the design requirements of DENSO's innovative stereoscopic vision sensor," said Kiyoe Nagaya, vice president, Cypress Automotive Business Unit. "We can apply our automotive PMIC and flash technology to this "We are very proud to have intelligent, accurate and reliable safety features in our stereoscopic vision sensors."
