Diodes Corporation Introduces Ultra-Low Quiescent Current Regulators with Wide Input Voltage Range and Includes 5V, 9V, 12V and 24V Rail

Diodes Corporation introduces the AP7381, a positive regulator that operates over a wide input voltage range (3.3V to 40V), delivering ultra-low quiescent current and high accuracy for a wide range of applications including USB, portable devices, power meters, Home automation and more.

With a fixed output voltage (3.3V or 5V), the AP7381 provides standard logic device power and I / O levels. It operates from an input voltage of 3.3V to 40V and covers most of the commonly used system rails. This unit provides excellent line and load regulation with a low dropout voltage, typically 1000mV, for a 3.3V output operating at 100mA output current. The internal voltage reference ensures that the output accuracy at room temperature is maintained within ± 2%.

Only 2.5μA low quiescent current, low power system in the standby power can be reduced as much as possible to extend battery life of the product. AP7381 built-in current limit and thermal protection (OTP) function, in addition to the internal current limit circuit provides over-current protection.
