
Fujitsu Electronic Components (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. announced today that it has introduced a new FRAM (Ferroelectric Random Access Memory) solution - MB85RS128TY and MB85RS256TY, which are the first devices in this new product line. Operating in high temperatures up to 125 degrees Celsius, these devices are designed for the automotive industry and industrial control machinery with motors installed and meet the stringent automotive industry AEC Q100 standards. Fujitsu Electronics hopes to expand its automotive market applications through this new product line and support innovative product development projects.
In-vehicle electronic control systems continue to increase the demand for access to various types of sensor data, so the demand for high-performance non-volatile memory technology is increasing, because when the system is performing data analysis or other data processing, only this Class memory can store the data collected by the sensor reliably and without delay. Because FRAM is a non-lost memory, it not only enables high-speed random access, but also has high write-resistant characteristics, so it can meet the needs of such applications with optimal performance. Currently, FRAM devices support real-time and continuous data storage in applications such as airbag data storage, accident data loggers (EDR), battery management systems (BMS), automotive driver assistance systems (ADAS), and navigation and infotainment systems. Therefore, it can reduce system complexity and improve data integrity.
Fujitsu Electronics' new FRAM products MB85RS128TY and MB85RS256TY are equipped with an SPI interface to provide two capacities of 128kbit and 256kbit. The operating voltage range is 1.8~3.6V, and the operating temperature range is minus 40~125 degrees Celsius. This wide temperature range meets the automotive market standards and industrial applications in high temperature environments. The MB85RS128TY and MB85RS256TY offer up to 10 megabytes of writes in a standard SOP-8 package.
