Harwin's female power contact connector for 2mm pitch connectors

Harwin announces the introduction of a new female contact connector for the Datamate retangular connector that significantly increases the power transmitted. T-Contact contact connectors feature a unique, patented 6-finger design that is machined from beryllium copper to increase the current capacity of a compact 2mm pitch interconnect system with up to 8.5A per contact. As a result, T-Contact, a new product, further improves the size, weight and power (SWaP) parameters of Harwin's popular Datamate connector and meets the ever-increasing power needs of engineers in today's space-constrained designs.

Innovative patented design of these components enables more contact points to enhance the new product's shock resistance (100G) and vibration resistance (6 hours 40G - 2 hours per axis). Crimp barrel supports 22AWG cable and meets IPC-A-620 harness specifications. Gold-plated contacts ensure reliable performance even in the most demanding applications (meeting US military requirements, etc.). This also means that up to 1000 mating cycles can be performed at high numbers, extending the life of the mating connector. The new product operating temperature range of -55 ℃ ~ +125 ℃.

T-Contact's contact cleaning capability is up to 60% greater than existing Datamate contact connectors, which improves self-cleaning and reduces the possibility of surface contamination.
