
TDK Group recently introduced a new type of EPCOS manganese-zinc (MnZn) based PC200 ferrite magnetic material with high frequency and low loss characteristics. The magnetic material is developed specifically for power supplies and frequency converters (with GaN-based fast switching power semiconductors) and has an optimized frequency range of 700kHz to 4MHz. When the switching frequency is from 1.8 MHz to 2 MHz and the operating temperature is 100°C, the maximum transmission power can be achieved. The maximum Curie temperature of the ferrite magnetic material is 250 °C.
PC200 ferrite magnetic material is especially suitable for magnetic ring or plate transformer. This new ferrite magnetic material can provide ER, EFD, ELP, EQ, I and RM cores. Its excellent performance provides a very good solution for designing power miniaturization in the future. At the same time, due to the low loss characteristics of the ferrite magnetic material, its efficiency is also greatly improved, which is why the use of PC200 can significantly save energy.
