Intersil Introduces Industry's First 15A, 42V Analog Power Module

The device provides voltage, temperature and current protection to ensure safe operation under abnormal operating conditions. The ISL8215M also provides automatic restart when the fault is cleared to protect the load and system. It offers a 0.6V - 12V adjustable output voltage, a maximum power density of 60mA/mm2, and a package size of only 13mm x 19mm.

0.6V - 12V adjustable output voltage, line, load and temperature accuracy of +/- 1.5%, 40ns on-time low duty cycle;

Up to 96.5% peak efficiency;

300kHz - 2MHz adjustable switching frequency, the default value is 300kHz;

Synchronization of external clock signal up to 1MHz;

Optional light load PSM/DEM efficiency mode helps extend battery life

Fault protection includes input undervoltage lockout, overtemperature, programmable overcurrent, output overvoltage, and output pre-bias startup to ensure safe operation.

Programmable soft-start reduces inrush current from the input supply

Dedicated enable pins and power good flags simplify system power rail sequencing with voltage tracking.
