
Linear Technology, Inc. (ADI) has introduced the LTC6419, a 10GHz gain-bandwidth dual differential amplifier with a very low input voltage noise density of 1.1nV/√Hz, which enables broadband Signal amplification provides excellent SNR performance.
In addition, the LTC6419 is low distortion, providing 85dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) at 100MHz while driving 2VP-P signals. The differential gain of each amplifier is set with 4 external resistors, configurable from unity gain and frequency response over 1 GHz, gains of 100 and 100 MHz bandwidth up to a maximum gain of 400 and 30 MHz bandwidth. At these higher frequencies, the LTC6419 provides much better 95dB channel-to-channel isolation than other similar classes of dual amplifiers. The LTC6419 has a 2.7V to 5.25V supply voltage range. Each amplifier has a shutdown pin so each amplifier can be independently activated to draw a nominal 52mA supply current. When disabled, the supply current to each amplifier drops to 100μA.
The LTC6419 is available in a small 4mm x 3mm x 0.75mm 20-lead LQFN plastic package. There are two levels of version: the I version has a temperature range of ̶ 40°C to 85°C, and the H version is ̶ 40°C to 125°C.
