
Littelfuse, a global leader in circuit protection, today introduced a family of transient suppression diode arrays (SPA® diodes) designed to experience the potential for destructive electrostatic discharge (ESD) or electrical fast transients (EFT). The electronic device protects each input/output pin.
The new SP1064 series of TVS diode arrays are Zener diodes fabricated using proprietary silicon avalanche technology. These powerful diodes safely absorb the highest levels of repetitive ESD discharges specified by the IEC61000-4-2 international standard without degrading performance. Very low load capacitance (typically 8.5pF per input/output) also makes them ideal for protecting high speed signal pins.
Typical applications for the SP1064 series include backlighting and sidelight solutions that protect ultra-HDTVs, LCD/plasma/TV, desktop/notebook and point-of-sale displays.
