ROHM Develops Automotive Operational Amplifier "BA8290xYxx-C Series" Without Noise Absorption Design

Saturday, May 19, 2018

Realizes anti-noise performance with absolute advantages and helps simplify the design and reliability of on-board sensor applications that are becoming increasingly popular

<Overview>

ROHM, a world-famous semiconductor manufacturer, has developed an automotive grounding operation with an overwhelming EMI tolerance*1) (hereinafter referred to as "anti-noise performance") for core systems such as EV / HEV engines and automotive electronic systems using on-board sensors. Amplifier "BA8290xYxx-C Series" (BA82904YF-C / BA82904YFVM-C / BA82902YF-C / BA82902YFV-C).

"BA8290xYxx-C Series" combines ROHM's "circuit design," "layout," "process," the three major analog technology developed, compared to the average product in all frequency bands, the output voltage changes ± 3.5% ~ ± 10%, the product Within ±1%, it is an op amp with absolute advantage in noise immunity. The rear part of the component placed on the output of a tiny signal such as a sensor can amplify the signal without being influenced by noise. Therefore, noise design that has conventionally used a filter as a countermeasure is no longer necessary, and this helps reduce system design man-hours and improve reliability.

This product has already begun to sell samples in September 2017. It plans to start mass production with a monthly output of 1 million units in June 2018. The production base of the previous process was ROHM Wako Co., Ltd. (Okayama, Japan), and the production process of the later process was ROHM Integrated Systems (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Thailand).
