Silicon Labs (also known as "Coretech") recently introduced the industry's most scalable, flexible and cost-effective automotive radio solutions for the global automotive infotainment market. Silicon Labs' new portfolio of new Global Eagle and Dual Eagle AM/FM receivers, digital radio tuners, and Digital Falcon co-processors help automakers and Tier 1 suppliers meet all market segments, cost, and performance levels And digital radio standards and other requirements, but also meet strict automotive quality standards. Based on new Silicon Labs products, OEM and post-market radio designs can be extended from low-cost, single-tuner AM/FM radios to high-performance systems with multiple tuners and multiple antennas, enabling car radio suppliers to take advantage of it R&D investment spans multiple product lines, and all product lines can use the same common software API.
According to IHS Markit's statistics, the global light vehicle market will reach 93.5 million units this year, and its radio system is divided into entry-level, mid-level and advanced market segments. To meet this wide market, radio suppliers developed different radio systems to meet the various cost targets in the same model. If you use an existing solution, it requires a lot of R&D investment to deal with all market segments of many models. Silicon Labs is the only provider of automotive radio solutions that provide a scalable hardware/software platform that enables car radio suppliers to meet multiple markets through the same radio hardware and software design. This superior flexibility helps customers reduce design, certification, procurement and inventory costs.
Analog AM/FM receivers and digital radio tuners The Global Eagle (Si4795x) and Dual Eagle (Si4796x and Si4797x) product families set new standards for scalability and car broadcast reception. The Eagle product family extends the field performance proven tuner and receiver products that Silicon Labs has deployed from leading automotive OEMs and tier one suppliers worldwide. The Si479xx devices utilize the low-IF digital architecture of Silicon Labs' patented technology to provide superior RF performance and immunity to interference. In addition, the integrated firmware algorithm of the Si479xx product family dynamically adjusts the signal reception of mobile vehicles to ensure optimal receiving performance under the harshest field conditions.
