
SiTime Corporation, a leader in MEMS technology-based timing solutions and a wholly-owned subsidiary of MegaChips, today announced the launch of the SiT9005. For any electronic product, this Programmable Spread Spectrum Oscillator (SSXO) is a milestone product that ensures that the product meets relevant emission standards and accelerates product revenue. Irradiation non-compliance (product radiation cannot meet relevant standards) often occurs in the final stages of product development, causing unpredictable troubleshooting and expensive production delays. (The SiT9005 can help customers solve radiation problems by spreading the clock signal and adjusting the rising and falling edges of the signal.) While SiTime's Time Machine II programmer supports these devices, it allows designers to reduce the radiance (in real time through field programming).

SiTime launched its first spread-spectrum oscillator in 2008. SiTime has since launched a full range of differential and LVCMOS family solutions to expand its EMI compliance products. SiTime's portfolio of EMI reduction solutions introduces programmability in spread-spectrum type, modulation technology, frequency, voltage, and output slew rate control to provide maximum flexibility for users. These solutions can solve system problems without degrading performance.
