The EZA11K is specifically designed for mounting in a 1U rack (422.8 × 43.6 (1U) × 530 mm). This new product is similar in size to the current EZA2500, but its maximum output power can reach 11 kW, which is equivalent to 4 times that of the EZA2500 model. In addition, it can connect up to 5 units up to 50 kW in parallel.
TDK Corporation is pleased to announce that we have further expanded the TDK-Lambda brand EZA series isolated DC-DC converter product line and developed an 11 kW model (EZA11K) with an output power that is more than 4 times that of the current model. The company added this new product to the 2.5 kW model lineup to help customers reduce the size of their high-power devices. TDK-Lambda will begin selling this product in April this year.
Lithium-ion batteries and other high-performance batteries have been widely used today. For example, such batteries can be used in automotive applications such as PHVs and EVs, industrial applications such as peaking and emergency power supplies, and home applications. In addition, due to the reduction in the prices of solar panels and other related equipment, in addition to the practice of selling electricity to power companies, there is a growing demand for the direct use of electricity generated from renewable energy such as solar power generation and wind power generation. Because of this, the demand for batteries used with the above-mentioned devices is also growing.
The EZA11K is compact and compact (1U in full rack size), but its maximum output power can reach 11 kW, which is more than four times the output power of the current model. Can achieve bidirectional conversion with up to 95% maximum efficiency. In addition, it can quickly change its direction of conversion without stopping work. This device can be connected in parallel for use with systems with output capacities exceeding 11 kW.
TDK integrates integrated circuit control technology (including digital control technology) with low-loss magnetic materials (advantages of TDK), further commits to energy saving and CO2 emission reduction, and continues to advance towards smart society.
This product will be exhibited at the TDK booth of TECHNO-FRONTIER 2017 (Power System Exhibition) held at the Makuhari Exhibition Hall from April 19th to April 21st 2017.
