TI Introduces Stackable 16V Input, 40A SWIFTTM DC/DC Buck Converter with Innovative Control Topology

The main features and benefits of the TPS543C20

Efficiency exceeds 90% at 40A peak load current.

Maintaining 0.5% reference voltage accuracy and fully differential remote voltage sensing at different temperatures can meet the voltage requirements of deep sub-micron processors.

Stacking two converters provides up to 80A of load current at the load point.

Provides extremely high power density, and PowerStackTM Quad Flat No-leads (QFN) can easily dissipate heat from a single ground pad.

TPS543C20 Support and Tools

For similar 25A applications, TI's TPS543B20 is also available in a pin-to-pin compatible PowerStack quad flat no-lead package. For applications that require PMBus support for telemetry, TI offers a stackable 35A TPS546C23 SWIFT synchronous buck converter.
