The New DLP 4K Ultra HD Chipset Delivers Accurate, Clear Image Display, Driving Unlimited Display Products
Texas Instruments Incorporated introduces a new family of 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) chipsets that continue to drive 4K ultra-high definition applications and technological innovations. Building on the industry's first affordable 4K UHD chipset, the DLP660TE, TI has introduced two smaller chipsets, the DLP470TE and DLP470TP, that continue to extend 4K Ultra HD to a wider range of end-use applications.
Today, developers can design DLP 4K UHD technology into a variety of end products such as laser TVs, mobile smart TVs, digital signage, smart home displays, micro-projection, and commercial and educational projectors. These chipsets offer different power, size, brightness, and performance levels to help designers design any ideal 4K UHD end product.
Each DLP 4K UHD chipset exceeds the 4K UHD technology standard defined by the Consumer Technology Association of America (CTA) and can display more than 8 million pixels on the screen.
Key Features and Benefits of the Chipset:
The DLP470TP chipset is the most compact 4K ultra HD solution in DLP products optimized for size and power. The DLP470TP measures 17 mm * 24.5 mm and supports brightness levels up to 1500 lumens, enabling 4K ultra-high-definition displays on devices such as mobile smart TVs and microprojectors.
The DLP470TE chipset is the best choice for projectors with brightness levels up to 1500 lumens. The chipset with 22mm * 32mm large package, can support brightness levels up to 4000 lumens.
The DLP660TE chipset is the most powerful of the three 4K UHD chipsets. The digital micromirror chip (DMD) enables projection devices to deliver up to 5,000 lumens of brightness.
TI partners with the industry's broadest ecosystem of optical engine manufacturers. This gives developers a way to mass-produce optical engines, reduce design time, and get manufacturers to bring their innovative products to market faster. Availability
Designers can now purchase the DLP660TE from TI stores and authorized distributors and begin designing immediately. DLP470TE and DLP470TP chipsets will be put into operation in early 2018.
