Vicor has introduced a series of devices that support ±1% regulation to further expand its isolation and regulation DC-DC converter module (DCM) camp in a ChiP package. The latest series offers unmatched power density of up to 1,032 W/in3, achieving ±1% accuracy over the full operating range. In the previous ChiP packaged DCM series, in order to support high power output, multiple DCM modules can be used in parallel with an output voltage accuracy of ±3%.
The DCM ChiP converts an unregulated, wide-ranging input voltage into an isolated, regulated DC output, while the DCM converter utilizes a high-frequency zero-voltage switching (ZVS) topology that is consistently available over its entire input voltage range. high efficiency.
Support for point-of-load applications
The new DCM series has an initial rated input voltage of 28V, 270V and 275V. The goal of these products is a variety of defense and industrial applications that require more stringent output regulation, including drones, ground vehicles, radar, transportation, and industrial controls. All of these series are in compliance with military-grade standards and operate at temperatures as low as -55°C.
