Vishay Introduces New AEC-Q200 Certified Ultra-Thin, High Current IHLP Inductors

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced the launch of its new AEC-Q200-certified ultra-thin, high-current IHLP® inductor, the Vishay Dale IHLP1616BZ-5A. With an external dimensions of 1616, the inductor can operate at +155°C and has a thickness of only 2mm, saving space in automotive applications.

The Vishay Dale IHLP1616BZ-5A is optimized for energy storage in DC/DC converters up to 2MHz. In high current filtering applications, the inductor can attenuate the noise very well and achieve the natural frequency of the inductor. The inductor can operate continuously at +155°C and can be used in applications such as engine control units in harsh environments like engine compartments for noise suppression, filtering and DC/DC conversion, LED illumination, radar, LIDAR, light. And other sensors, as well as entertainment and navigation systems.

The devices released today are highly efficient, with typical DCRs ranging from 4.0mΩ to 102.0mΩ and inductance values ​​from 0.10μH to 4.7μH. With a current rating of 19.0A, the IHLP-1616BZ-5A handles high transient current spikes without saturation.

The inductor uses a 100% lead-free shielded composite structure that reduces buzzer noise to very low levels and is highly resistant to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical shock. IHLP-1616BZ-5A is RoHS and Vishay green and halogen free.
