36W devices with auxiliary PCB mount M3 and M4 screw holes, resistance as low as 50μΩ

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today announced the availability of new WSBS8518 ... M3 and WSBS8518 ... M4 36W Power Metal Strip® battery shunts using M3 and M4 screw holes, respectively. These Vishay Dale devices have very low resistance, only 50μΩ, dimensions 8518, higher accuracy than the Hall effect current-sensing solution, low cost, while the screw hole in the PCB placement process to play a complementary role in providing additional resistance Vibration capability, but also the location of the fixed voltage detection pin.
These devices are released today with a unique process to achieve extremely low resistance values of 50μΩ, 100μΩ, 125μΩ and 250μΩ. Low resistance allows the measurement equipment to obtain more accurate data, decide whether to charge or discharge the battery, so as to help designers meet petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric vehicles and trucks, as well as electric forklifts, UPS systems and other heavy industrial applications In the specific customer's battery management needs.
WSBS8518 ... M3 and WSBS8518 ... M4 with low TCR (± 20ppm / ℃) solid metal manganese copper alloy resistance core, connector to the resistance of the core using welding connection, the continuous current can reach 848A (depending on the specific resistance). Resistance self-inductance less than 5nH, thermal EMF (thermal EMF) less than 3μV / ℃, operating temperature from -65 ℃ to +70 ℃. The devices are RoHS and Vishay green standards, halogen free.
WSBS8518 ... M3 and WSBS8518 ... M4 are available now and have been mass-produced, with lead times of ten weeks to twelve weeks.
