The device has a variety of termination and installation, A-shaped products, the capacitance of up to 30000μF
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today announced the availability of new high-energy tantalum capacitors, EP1, to meet the needs of aerospace and aerospace applications. For each voltage level and dimensions, the device's value is highest in the industry. To improve design flexibility, the EP1 provides radial via or surface mount termination, with A, B and C outline codes, each with screw mounting options.

These devices are manufactured today using Vishay's proven SuperTan® technology. The A-shaped device has a capacitance of 2000μF to 30000μF and a voltage rating from 25VDC to 125VDC. These performance indicators of the EP1 are leading in the industry, where the A-size device has a capacitance of 13000μF at 50V and 18 percent higher than the closest competing device. Capacitors have a standard capacitance tolerance of ± 20% and a tolerance of ± 10% of the product. C-shaped products are expected to be released later in 2017, B-shaped products will be released in 2018.
The EP1 is a fully tantalum sealed enclosure for increased reliability for pulse power and energy retention applications in laser guidance, radar and aerospace systems. The operating temperature of the device is -55 ℃ ~ + 85 ℃, the voltage drop can reach + 125 ℃, the maximum ESR at 1kHz and +25 ℃ is 0.030Ω. The capacitors have tin / lead (Sn / Pb) termination and RoHS compliant 100% pure tin termination.
