XP Power announces the GCU500 series; industry leading small size 83.8 x 165.1 x 39.3 mm 500W AC-DC power supply. The product is suitable for 1U systems to meet the needs of high reliability and price-sensitive applications, such as robotics and renewable energy. Dual Fusion, Low Leakage Current, and 2 x MOPPs (Patient Protection) Input / Output Insulation These properties enable the product to meet demanding medical applications such as hospital ventilators and medical carts. The product meets the latest "Third Edition" risk management IEC 60601-1 medical safety certification.

Unlike competing vendors' products, the GCU500 series is also safe to use in high altitudes - 4000 meters for medical applications and 5,000 meters for communication.
