
TDK Group recently introduced EPCOS MKP (Metalized Polypropylene Film) X2 EMI Suppression Capacitor with higher withstand voltage. Compared to conventional 305Vac X2 capacitors, the new series has a voltage limit of 350Vac, making it ideal for EMI suppression of input filters and output filtering in photovoltaic inverters, especially in the North American market. The new series of capacitors have capacitance values in the range of 0.47μF to 10μF, as provided by the E12 series. Another feature of the new series of capacitors is that even in harsh environmental conditions, the capacitance value can be stable. This characteristic is validated by the damp heat test at a temperature of 85 ° C, a relative humidity of 85%, a voltage of 330V AC and a time of 1000 hours. After testing, the capacitance of the capacitor changes less than 7.5%. The maximum operating temperature of the capacitor is 110 ° C.
The new capacitor series has been UL and EN approved, according to capacitance, the capacitor pin pitch is 27.5 mm (B32924 * 4 *) or 37.5 mm (B32926 * 4 *). The capacitors' outer case and epoxy sealants are UL 94 V-0 compliant. In addition to EMI suppression, these capacitors are also suitable for applications that require high ripple current capability, as well as resistive buck power supplies.
