Littelfuse, Inc., a leader in global circuit protection, today introduced a compact, fast-acting 500VAC ceramic tube fuse rated at 1.6A to 12.5A. The 514 Series Ceramic Fuse is rated for interrupt currents up to 5,000A at an AC voltage of 500 volts and is ideal for HVAC and industrial system high voltage AC power line protection. Its sophisticated design improves reliability by reducing the effects of temperature cycling and vibration. Measuring only 6.3mm x 32mm, circuit designers can free board space needed to protect components.
"The low current rating of the 514 series combined with its high breaking capacity is unique among such small-size fuses." Ben Zheng, Global Product Manager at Littelfuse, said, "When used in three-phase AC power inverter circuit AC output or AC power supply short-circuit protection At the time, the 514 series fuses provide perfect over-current protection under extremely harsh conditions."
The 514 Series 500VAC Ceramic Tube Fuse has the following key advantages:
The rated interrupt current of 5,000A at high rated AC voltage and 500V AC voltage makes it ideal for AC circuits in uninterrupted power supplies with AC operating voltage up to 500V and short circuit current up to 5,000A.
The rated current is 1.6A to 12.5A, which provides reliable overcurrent protection for high voltage AC circuits.
The small size (6.3mm x 32mm) ceramic body provides a more compact design for power conversion equipment that requires more energy efficiency. This fuse is suitable for most commercial low power power supplies.
The wide operating temperature range (-55°C to 125°C) ensures reliable protection against extreme temperatures and harsh environments.
