TDK develops common mode filter ACT1210L series for automotive Ethernet

TDK Co., Ltd. (President: Shihei Nao) developed the industry's smallest* common-mode filter ACT1210L series for automotive Ethernet (outer size: L3.2×W2.5×T2.4mm), and will be from 2017 Mass production began in June.

At present, the common mode filter for automotive Ethernet has the ACT45L series (frame size: L4.5×W3.2×T2.8mm) product line. In recent years, in-vehicle cameras have been increasingly miniaturized, and miniaturization has been carried out on the basis of high-density assembly, and high heat resistance has been demanded.

This product adopts the company's unique structural design and coil manufacturing process, and even if it is miniaturized, it can ensure the same common mode conversion characteristic Scd21 as ACT45L. The so-called common mode conversion characteristic Scd21 level is that the differential mode signal is not converted to the common mode and still has good characteristics as a common mode filter. In addition, a temperature range of -40 to +125 ° C and high heat resistance are achieved by using metal terminals. In addition, through a fully automated manufacturing process, high reliability and high quality manufacturing are achieved.

In the future, we will further expand our product lineup by expanding the operating temperature range and corresponding to high-speed communications to meet a wide range of in-vehicle device designs.
