Comparators are electronics circuits that compare an analog voltage signal to a reference voltage. When the difference between the input voltages increases or decreases and the positive and negative signs remain constant, the output remains constant. Linear comparator products are used to evaluate the relative size of two analog input signals and produce a binary (two-state) output indicating which of the two is larger.
