It is fabricated with silicon gate C2MOS technology and is designed to have the same performance as the equivalent bipolar Schottky product. This product is part of the 74HCT range, which is specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A.

Functionality

The NXP PC74HCT173P contains four edge-triggered D-type flip-flops with individual D inputs and Q outputs. The common clock (CP) and master reset (MR) inputs load and reset all flip-flops simultaneously. The state of each D input, one setup time before the LOW-to-HIGH clock transition, is transferred to the corresponding flip-flop’s Q output. The D inputs are available for cascading of the flip-flops during multiple-bit data transfer. The MR input has priority over the CP input and, when LOW, resets all flip-flops.
