Additional Details
The HD74HC688P has two 8-bit inputs (P0-P7 and Q0-Q7) and an Enable (E) input. When E is low, the output (P=Q) is high if the two input words are identical, and low otherwise. When E is high, the output is forced low, regardless of the input values. This allows for cascading multiple comparators to compare words larger than 8 bits or strobing the output signal. The device operates from a 2V to 6V supply voltage and is available in a DIP package. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
