The LM139A series consists of four independent precision voltage comparators with an offset voltage specification as low as 2 mV max for all four comparators. These were designed specifically to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. However, operation from dual supplies is also possible and the power drain is independent of the magnitude of the power supply voltage.
Key Features
- Wide Single Supply Voltage Range: 2V to 36V or dual supplies (±1V to ±18V).
- Very Low Supply Current Drain: Independent of supply voltage (0.8 mA typical).
- Low Input Biasing Current: 25 nA typical.
- Low Input Offset Current: ±5 nA typical.
- Offset Voltage: ±3 mV typical.
- Input Common-Mode Voltage Range: Includes ground.
- Differential Input Voltage Range: Equal to the supply voltage.
- Low Output Saturation Voltage: Output compatible with TTL, DTL, ECL, MOS, and CMOS logic systems.
Applications
The LM139A series is designed for use in level detection, low-level sensing and memory applications in consumer, automotive, and industrial electronic applications. It is particularly useful in complex systems where a stable, reliable comparator is necessary to maintain precise voltage thresholds.
Product Specifications
The LM139A comparators are characterized for operation from -55°C to 125°C. The LM139A series is offered in a 14-pin plastic DIP, a 14-pin metal can, and a 14-pin small outline package. The pin configuration and package are designed to be compatible with a wide range of standard devices.
