STMicroelectronics added two STM32F413/423 product lines

STMicroelectronics' two new microcontroller product lines enhance the energy efficiency, functional integration and design flexibility of the STM32F4 basic product line high-end products to meet the technical requirements of high-performance embedded design. These STM32's latest microcontrollers operate at temperatures up to 125 ° C [1], featuring always-on sensors and general industrial equipment, providing a robust, reliable and cost-effective system upgrade for STM32F1 applications [2].

The STM32F413 and the enhanced STM32F423 encryption feature integrate up to 1.5MB of flash memory and 320KB of SRAM. These two products are the most prominent in the STM32F4 basic product line. Their rich audio features include Serial Audio Interface (SAI) and enhanced voice. The acquisition interface integrates a multi-channel digital Sigma-Delta Modulation Filter (DFSDM) for low-power sound localization and beamforming. The new product also integrates a rich set of peripheral interfaces, including two 12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs), up to 10 UART interfaces, and three CAN 2.0B Active interfaces. The encryption-enhanced STM32F423 also adds a hardware random number generator (TRNG) and AES-256 algorithm hardware accelerator.

As a high-end product of the STM32F4 basic product line, the new microcontroller introduces a 100MHz dual-mode four-wire SPI external memory serial interface and a 16-bit flexible memory controller (FMC) connected to external SRAM, PSRAM or NOR flash for the first time, and up to 16 Bit QVGA or 8-bit WQVGA LCD interface and USB OTG interface. Among them, USB OTG has built-in link circuit management (LPM) and dual voltage rails, saving external level shifting devices.
