Functional Description

The PC74HC373P consists of eight D-type latches with 3-state outputs that can be used as bus drivers. The device features a common Latch Enable (LE) input and a common Output Enable (OE) input. When LE is high, the flip-flops on the '373' take the data from the D inputs and hold it. When OE is low, the outputs are active and reflect the data that has been latched. If OE is high, the outputs go to a high-impedance state, effectively disconnecting the latch from the bus.
