Linear Technology's LTC1871EMS - High Efficiency, No RSENSE Boost Converter

The LTC1871EMS from Linear Technology is a versatile and powerful boost converter that is designed to cater to a wide range of applications requiring high voltage outputs from lower voltage sources. The device features a high 1.5A switch which allows it to deliver outputs as high as 60V. The frequency of operation is programmable via an external resistor or can be synchronized to an external clock through the SYNC pin, ranging from 100kHz to 500kHz. Furthermore, the LTC1871EMS has built-in features that enhance the safety and reliability of the system. These include programmable soft start to limit inrush current during startup, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown.
