Description

The SN74HC623N is a high-performance, octal bus transceiver from Texas Instruments. This integrated circuit is designed for asynchronous communication between data buses. The device allows data transmission from the A bus to the B bus or from the B bus to the A bus, depending on the logic level at the direction control (DIR) input.

The SN74HC623N features eight bidirectional transceivers with 3-state outputs, which can be independently controlled by the output-enable (OE) inputs. When OE is low, the device passes data from one bus to the other. When OE is high, the outputs are in a high-impedance state, which means they do not interfere with the operations of other components on the bus.
