The SMCJ16A-E3 is a surface-mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode manufactured by Vishay. It's designed to protect sensitive electronic components from voltage transients induced by lightning, electrostatic discharge (ESD), inductive switching, and other transient voltage events.
