The internal lithium energy source and control circuitry constantly monitor VCC for an out-of-tolerance condition. When such a condition occurs, the lithium energy source is automatically switched on and writes protection is unconditionally enabled to prevent data corruption.

In addition, its infinite read and write endurance ensures that the memory can be accessed repeatedly without degradation of the memory cells.
