Description

The Maxim Integrated DS1302Z+T is a versatile, low-power real-time clock (RTC) module that provides a full binary-coded decimal (BCD) clock/calendar with 31 bytes of static RAM. It is an ideal component for timekeeping functions in a wide range of consumer electronics, office automation, and personal computing applications, including servers, printers, and embedded systems.

This RTC module is designed to communicate with a microprocessor via a simple serial interface. The DS1302Z+T encapsulates the year, month, date, day, hour, minute, and second in 24-hour or 12-hour format with an AM/PM indicator.
