Product Description:

The SN74LVC373AN features eight D-type latches with 3-state outputs designed to drive bus lines or buffer memory address registers. The device has a wide data bandwidth and is capable of supporting high-speed data transfer. The transparent nature of the latches means that while the latch enable (LE) input is high, the Q outputs will follow the data (D) inputs. When LE is taken low, the data that was present at the D inputs at the time the transition occurred is retained at the Q outputs until LE is returned high.

Additionally, the 3-state outputs can be placed in a high-impedance state, effectively disconnecting them from the bus, which is a necessary feature for bidirectional bus systems. The OE (Output Enable) input controls this feature.
