The Honeywell HMC5883L is a commonly used compass/magnetometer that is also known as HMC5883L-TR or MMC3280MS. It operates using magnetoresistive technology and features an analog voltage output type. The device has a sensing range of ±0.2mT and can sense in a single axis. It has a current supply of 19mA and a current output of 10mA. The HMC5883L operates at a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C (TA) and requires a supply voltage of 3.3V to 5V.
