The MAX805TEPA is a highly reliable, precision microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit from Maxim Integrated, designed to monitor power supplies in digital systems. It provides excellent circuit reliability and low cost by eliminating external components and adjustments when used in systems with a +5V power supply voltage.

This supervisory circuit ensures that the µP is only operational when the power supply is within acceptable limits. It achieves this by asserting a reset signal to the µP until the supply voltage reaches a stable and acceptable level during power-up and operation. The reset signal remains active for a minimum of 140ms after the supply has reached the specified threshold, ensuring a proper system reset. The MAX805TEPA also includes a manual reset feature, allowing designers to initiate a system reset remotely.
