Product Description

The 74HC373D features eight D-type transparent latches with 3-state outputs, meaning that each latch can be in one of three states: high, low, or high-impedance. The high-impedance state is particularly useful for interfacing with a bus-oriented system. The device operates with a wide range of supply voltages from 2.0V to 6.0V, making it suitable for interfacing with both TTL and CMOS logic levels.

A latch enable (LE) input and an output enable (OE) input control the state of each latch and the state of the output, respectively. When LE is high, the data on the D inputs is transferred to the latches. The data is held stable when LE returns to low. The OE input can be used to place the outputs in either a normal logic state or the high-impedance state, which is necessary when multiple outputs are connected to a common bus line.

The 74HC373D is provided in a slim SO20 package, which is ideal for space-constrained applications while ensuring robustness and ease of integration into a wide array of electronic systems.
