Description

The TRS232IDW is a premier integrated circuit from Texas Instruments, designed to meet the rigorous demands of enhanced RS-232 communication protocols. This device is a dual-driver, dual-receiver that includes a capacitive voltage generator to supply TIA/EIA-232-F voltage levels from a single 5V supply.

Each driver and receiver in the TRS232IDW has been crafted to offer robust performance, ensuring reliable communication even in challenging environments. The driver outputs and receiver inputs are protected against electrostatic discharge (ESD) events, offering enhanced durability and longevity in a variety of applications.

The drivers maintain the TIA/EIA-232-F standards with a 5V power supply by generating the necessary ±7.5V output levels with the onboard charge pump. The receivers can handle up to ±30V input levels, and the drivers feature an output level of 5.5V that can handle data rates up to 120 kbps.
