The TC74ACT257F is a quad 2-input multiplexer with 3-state outputs. This device selects one of two 4-bit data sources based on the state of the select input (S). The selected data is routed to the outputs when the output enable (OE) input is low. When OE is high, all outputs are forced to a high-impedance state, allowing multiple devices to share a common bus.

Additional Details
The TC74ACT257F is supplied in a 16-pin SOIC package. When the Output Enable (OE) is low, the selected data from either the A or B inputs (based on the Select (S) input) is passed to the outputs. When OE is high, the outputs are in a high-impedance state, effectively disconnecting them from the bus. This allows multiple multiplexers to be connected to the same bus, with only one device active at a time. The device operates over a supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
