The LTC3407AEMSE-2#TRPBF is a high-performance, dual-channel synchronous step-down DC/DC regulator from Linear Technology, designed to deliver efficient power conversion for portable devices. This compact and robust component is ideal for applications that demand low voltage, high current outputs with minimal board space. It operates over a wide input voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V, making it suitable for single Li-Ion, multicell alkaline or NiMH applications, as well as for 3.3V or 5V intermediate bus systems.

Each channel of the LTC3407AEMSE-2#TRPBF is capable of delivering up to 600mA of continuous output current at voltages as low as 0.8V, which allows for flexibility in powering the latest generation of low-voltage DSPs and microcontrollers. The high switching frequency of 2.25MHz minimizes the size of external components, further saving on board space and cost. Furthermore, the high frequency operation allows for the use of tiny, low profile inductors and ceramic capacitors, which are ideal for space-constrained applications.

The regulator features internal switches with RDS(ON) of only 0.35Ω and 0.45Ω, ensuring high efficiency and reducing power loss. When the load current drops below the level required for continuous operation, the regulator automatically switches to a low-power state, significantly reducing quiescent current.
