The OB3394 is a low cost, high efficiency, step-up DC/DC converter designed for driving up to 6 white LEDs in series from a single cell Lithium Ion battery. It can also be used to drive other LED configurations, as well as other devices that require a constant current source. The OB3394 features a 1.2 MHz switching frequency, which allows for the use of small external components. It also has an internal soft-start circuit that limits inrush current during start-up and an open LED protection circuit that limits the output voltage in the event of an open circuit. The OB3394 is available in a small SOT23-6 package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.
