The LM3406MH from Texas Instruments is a highly versatile, efficient and robust monolithic switching regulator specifically designed for driving high power LEDs.

  • Features: Integrates a high-side N-FET switch and a current sense circuit
  • Topologies: Step-down (Buck), step-up (Boost), and inverting
  • Input Voltage Range: 6V to 42V
  • Switching Frequency: Up to 1 MHz
  • Current Regulation Scheme: Fixed frequency Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)
  • Dimming Control Input: Accepts either an analog voltage or a PWM signal
  • Protection Features: Internal undervoltage lockout (UVLO), thermal shutdown, cycle-by-cycle current limit
  • Package: Thermally enhanced 8-pin HTSSOP
