  • Reset Output: The MAX708ACSA features an active-low reset output, which remains asserted for a minimum of 140ms after VCC has risen above the reset voltage threshold. This ensures that the microprocessor starts up in a known state every time.
  • Power-Supply Monitoring: It constantly monitors the power supply voltage and maintains the reset output in an active state whenever VCC falls below the factory-set reset threshold, thereby protecting the microprocessor from unpredictable behavior.
  • Manual Reset Input: An additional feature is the manual reset input that allows for a reset to be triggered with an external push-button or logic signal, thus providing an extra level of control.
  • Watchdog Timer: A watchdog timer is integrated, which needs to be periodically cleared by the connected microprocessor. If the microprocessor or software freezes and fails to clear the watchdog, a system reset will be triggered.
