The ICM7555CN,602 is a CMOS timer providing significantly improved performance over the standard SE/NE 555/556 and 355 timers, while at the same time being a direct replacement for those devices in most applications. Manufactured by NXP Semiconductors, a leader in the industry, this timer is designed with the versatility and reliability required for a wide range of timing and pulse generation tasks.

The key advantage of the ICM7555CN,602 is its true CMOS nature. Its operating current is significantly lower than those of standard timers. Moreover, the supply current is virtually independent of the supply voltage, with values of typically 60 μA at a 5V supply voltage. This low power consumption makes the ICM7555CN,602 an ideal choice for battery-operated devices where power efficiency is crucial.

The device features a stable operation for both monostable and astable functions. In the monostable mode, time delays can be precisely controlled by a single external resistor and capacitor. For astable operation, the frequency and duty cycle can be adjusted independently with two external resistors and a single capacitor.

The output from the ICM7555CN,602 can drive TTL loads as well as capable of sourcing or sinking up to 100 mA. This high output drive capability and its wide operating voltage range of 2V to 18V provide the timer with the flexibility to interface with a variety of logic families and to handle power applications directly.
